FRANKLIN, TENN. — GREENIES™, a brand of dental treats and pill pockets owned by Mars Petcare, has launched a line of Dog Supplements targeting mobility, immune system support, and skin and coat health.

The brand cited a study conducted by Kinship Partners in February 2021, which showed 77% of pet owners in the United States are concerned about their pets’ health. This sentiment has fueled substantial growth in the supplement category and interest in functional and solutions-based pet food and treat formulas across the market.

"The GREENIES brand is trusted in oral health, so it was only natural for us to expand to a new category, offering a product to help pet parents take a more active role in their pet's wellness," said Craig Neely, vice president of marketing at Mars Petcare. "With new GREENIES Dog Supplements, pet parents can give their dogs this tasty, once-a-day soft chew, just as they would take a vitamin supplement themselves, and know they're turning health into something their pets really enjoy."

The supplements were formulated by a team of Ph.D.-level animal nutrition experts, according to the company, and are designed to deliver functional ingredients to support three common areas of concern.

The Hip & Joint Dog Supplements are formulated with active glucosamine and chondroitin to support mobility. The Skin & Coat Supplements include fish oil to deliver Omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. The Immune Health Supplements feature a blend of antioxidants, vitamins C and E to support healthy immune systems. All three formulations are made with real chicken and chicken flavor.

The new formulas are appropriate for adult dogs of all sizes, according to the company.

GREENIES Dog Supplements are manufactured in the United States and ingredients are sourced globally. They do not contain artificial flavors, artificial preservatives or fillers. They will be sold online throughout the United States.
